Solar Energy Application : Process Heat

Previously,
most concentrating thermal systems were limited to lower temperature
ranges of between 22 to 300 degrees F. Of the total industrial process
heat market in the United States, temperatures needs below 212 degrees
F (hot water) represent only 1.5 percent and steam temperatures
between 212 and 300 degrees F account for an additional 16.5 percent
of industry's needs.
With the POWERROOF™ system, collection
temperatures in excess of 750 degrees F are possible. This, in
turn, more than doubles the possibilities within the industrial
process steam markets and opens up an additional 20 percent of
the market in industrial processes requiring hot air.
